Each painting brings a new beginning for me. It is a start of a journey, searching for that moment between two seconds. My goal is to remove the veil that separates me from the possibilities of the Arcadian landscape. This search is what compels me to paint the landscape. I reach beyond the perceived reality of land, sky, and water to depict a timeless setting. The landscape is a window to an inaccessible world. I search to capture that fleeting moment before reality transcends into an ephemeral state. I achieve this by eliminating and refining the intended images allowing the forms to flow: merging and waning into obscurity.
As an artist the greatest challenge is to be satisfied with what I create. Every painting must be a search for a more pure insight into moments between intrigue and mystery.
